The View is the Reward

Our reward for making our way to the Tower-Tunnel Overlook was a magnificent view of Breaks Canyon.

Frank noticed that the blaze for the trail looked like a fried egg!

The "tower" is a rock formation. The "tunnel" is a railroad tunnel through the mountains.
If you look closely you can see the railroad.

  1. The path does look like it has had some water down it!

I was looking at your earlier post - its strange to think how many industries were based in woodlands at stage.

  3. We didn't get to do any hiking during our short visit to the Breaks. This looks like a great trail for a hike -- preferably when the weather is a little drier than it was for you. The view is wonderful.
